Named after a pink camellia flower prominently present in the upper left corner, marbled paint, each stroke a shimmering polyp revealing its iridescent heart, builds upwards from the suggestion of a crystalline base. This translucent vessel attempts, but fails, to hang onto the flowers. They leap from its grasp. A whimsical school of color darts and weaves about, some of the stems even seem to dry up, and stand erect mid air. At its heart rambunctious petals, a vibrant coil of color. Behind our still life, the canvas ripples with the energetic currents of palette knife swipes, each gray stroke a testament to the artist's confident navigation of this underwater world. A neon yellow glow emanates from the base, as if this petite vase, a luminescent creature, balances precariously on the table top that is disintegrating before our eyes.
